Implemented in collaboration with the City of Athens and the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun, the specially designed D Athens programme brings together actions, new institutions, and participatory initiatives that highlight Athens as both the cradle of theatre and a vibrant hub for contemporary international theatrical creation.
The D Athens – Athens World Theatre Capital programme embraces theatre as an art form as well as a powerful tool for democracy, civic engagement, education, cultural tourism, and sustainable urban development.
